What is it like to work with me?
I specialize in working with individuals, entrepreneurs, and high-level professionals to improve relationships, eliminate depression/anxiety and reduce overall stress levels. My parents had their own business from the time I was 9 years old, so the entrepreneurial mindset is one I am familiar with both as an observer and practitioner. I have been in business for myself for over 15 years and also worked in a corporate environment for 5 years.
My clients learn to design life so that relationships, work, and life goals balance out. I take a straightforward, no-nonsense approach — think Tony Robbins or Dr. Phil. The idea is not to keep you in therapy forever but to quickly take your life to the next level of happiness and success. Clients see a noticeable shift in function, outlook, and mood within 4-6 weeks. This therapy cuts through all the BS and gets results, and is specially tailored with the high-level professionals’ needs in mind.
I work primarily with action-oriented, goal-directed individuals and professionals in North Carolina and Florida, in-person or remotely, who are eager to address concerns in a forthright, head-on manner. In my experience, entrepreneurs and other professionals in high demand are self-aware and want results as quickly as possible. They just need someone to help them get there. They’ve probably tried coaching or therapy in the past, and are tired of BS therapy techniques and gimmicks. I get after it with a “take no prisoners” attitude and together, we get your concern addressed, faster than you ever thought possible. My goal is to not only get you back to baseline but to go BEYOND that…to elevate your focus and effectiveness to a whole new level. Whether you’ve been dealing with an issue for 5 minutes or your entire life, we can address it. The way I see it, people don’t pay for therapy, they pay for results. Let’s get started!

FAQ
No! I work with "regular people" who are goal-directed and action-oriented; folks who have an idea that something might be "off" or challenging in their lives right now and are just unsure what to do next! My clients want to conquer anxiety, depression, work stress, and relationship issues in a way that is straightforward and doesn't keep them coming to therapy for the rest of forever. We’ll be a good match if you are ready to do the work and want to take charge of your life. If that sounds like you, let's connect!
No, I am a private pay practice and do not process insurance claims on clients' behalf. I can issue billing receipts so that you can file a claim with your insurance and get reimbursed per your plan parameters. Payment options are outlined in the practice intake forms. We accept cash, credit cards, and app-based payment methods such as CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle.
Answer: I move quickly, and want you to see shifts in mood and functioning as quickly as possible. In the initial weeks of treatment, it is ideal if you come a couple times per week. Then, we will back off to once a week from there. Most of my clients see noticeable changes quickly.
Answer: Yes! Research shows that psychotropic medication works more effectively when you couple it with talk therapy. If the medication worked so brilliantly on its own, we’d all be popping pills and I’d be out of a job. Seriously though, medication is great and often needed in times of high stress and anxiety. You can super-charge its effects by coming to see me. #winning!
Answer: Bipolar can be managed easily with the right medication and lifestyle. We can assess for bipolar over a few sessions. Pro Tip: if you think you might be bipolar and also smoke pot, that is not a good combination. Here is why.
Answer: In individual counseling, clients discuss their relationship often and we talk about changes that can be made, and explore steps toward having a more fulfilling relationship. Couples therapy should be done through someone who holds a LMFT license (Licensed Marital and Family Therapist). I am happy to refer you to some LMFT's that are great at couple's therapy.
Answer: Yes! I have taken many continuing education classes on Narcissism, Gaslighting, and Trauma Bonding. I have a deep knowledge and understanding of this personality type.
